Overview

The DuPont™ ProShield® 20 SFR Hooded Coveralls are made from a non-halogenated, flame-retardant polypropylene SMS nonwoven fabric. They provide limited protection against flame spread (index 1) in addition to protection against particles and limited liquid splashes or sprays of water-based liquids. They must always be worn on top of a primary FR protection garment, such as Nomex.

ProShield®® 20 SFR garments are used across a range of applications, including those in the petrochemical and railway industries, welding, gas and metal applications and certain Ex-Zones (refer to instructions for use). By helping to protect primary flame-resistant garments from contamination, they effectively protect you and your investment and reduce the strain on your budget

Specification

  • EN 14116 Protection against heat and flame -- Limited flame spread materials, material assemblies and clothing.
  • EN 1073-2 Protective clothing against radioactive contamination. Requirements and test methods for non-ventilated protective clothing against particulate radioactive contamination.
  • EN 1149-5 European standard for protective clothing with anti-static characteristics. The clothing protects against sudden discharges of electrostatic energy and should be worn whenever there is a risk that static sparks may ignite inflammable substances such as gas and oil.
