The 3M 8835+ Valved Particulate Respirator is a reliable, easy to use and P3 rated reusable premium face mask. Designed to provide effective respiratory protection in areas where workers may be exposed to solid dust particles or non-volatile liquid particles.
The 8835+ face mask is lightweight (45g) with a comfortable, off-the-face design and easily adjustable buckle straps for a secure, individual fit. The headbands are also colour coded red, allowing them to be easily identified as providing P3 protection. The soft thermoplastic elastomer (TPE) inner face-seal ring can be hygienically cleaned, allowing the mask to be reused. It also features 3M's Cool Flow valve technology for improved comfort when working in hot and humid environments.
Used correctly, FFP3 masks help to reduce exposure to airborne particles. They are proven to provide effective protection during epidemic outbreaks, such as ebola. They were also used in health care centres as personal protective equipment against coronavirus.
- FFP3 - protects against harmful or carcinogenic dusts, water and oil based mists or aerosols and biological agents of risk groups 2 and 3 in concentrations of up to 20 x WEL.
- R - reusable. Can be used for more than one shift and fulfil the 120mg loading test with solids and liquid aerosols.
- D - these filters have passed the Dolomite clogging test, giving the user better breathing resistance.
