ENVIRONMENTAL POLICY - DELTAWAITE LTD
Deltawaite’s operations are considered to have a low environmental impact and include:
- Stockholding and supply safety equipment and protective clothing from quality assured sources and non-quality assured sources without lot traceability.
- Stockholding and supply of welding wire from quality assured sources with lot traceability.
We understand our responsibility to care for and protect the environment in which we operate. We are fully committed to continually improving our environmental performance across all of our business activities, and will encourage our business partners, interest parties and members of the wider community to join us in this effort. We recognise that some aspects of our activities may have an impact, either positive or negative, on the environment. These aspects, and their associated impacts, have been identified and are taken into account in establishing, implementing and maintaining the Environmental Management System. We have identified known interested parties and ensure that all environmental compliance obligations are fulfilled. The Company is committed to the prevention of pollution and the continual improvement of our environmental performance.

- Assess our organisational activities and identify areas where we can minimise impacts;
- Minimise waste through careful and efficient use of all materials and energy;
- Purchase sustainable products wherever feasible;
- Publicise our environment position;
- Train employees in good environmental practice and encourage employee involvement in environmental actions;
- Reduce risks from environmental, occupational health of safety hazards for employees and others in the vicinity of our operations;
- Adopt an environmentally sound transport strategy;
- Aim to include environmental and ethical considerations in investment decisions where appropriate;
- Assist in developing solutions to environmental problems;
- Continually assess the environmental impact of all our operations.
Deltawaite has developed an environmental management system which meets the requirements of ISO 14001. Our environmental policy, objectives, our environmental considerations and actions will be reported and reviewed annually via our Management Review or if changes in procedure, legislation or identification of required changes through the audit process deem it necessary.
The Managing Director has the ultimate responsibility for ensuring that the necessary means exist with the Company to implement and monitor effectiveness of this policy. However, all employees have a responsibility to themselves, their colleagues, the Company and the community to care for the environment and to co-operate to achieve the high standards required.
